Precious objects and everyday objects that belonged to Princess Charlotte and Duke George II are presented in this volume, which aims to introduce the reader to lesser-known, yet no less fascinating, aspects of the history of Villa Carlotta (Tremezzina, Como). Following careful restoration and cataloging, begun in 2016, it was possible to conduct a more in-depth investigation into the history of the ceramics preserved at the villa. Raffaella Ausenda, art historian and author of the volume, traces the origins and history of this precious collection, consisting of breakfast, lunch, tea, and coffee services, as well as toiletry sets and simpler objects intended for domestic servants and servants. The most significant pieces and services are presented with historical and critical notes, accompanied by technical data and photographs.
