The result of studies conducted for the "Nature and Delights" exhibition, held at Villa Carlotta from May to November 2021, this volume is the culmination of a series of initiatives that the Villa Carlotta Foundation has pursued over the past decade to enhance its heritage, not only its material historical, artistic, and archival heritage, but also the intangible heritage of the Tremezzina area and Lake Como in general.
The aim of the essays collected in this richly illustrated volume is to spark a reflection on the good agri-food practices that, over the past centuries, have characterized daily life at the villa, subsequently comparing the ancient model of sustainability with that of our time.
